Thassos Tourism: Alyki

   The peninsula of Alyki is located on the east side of Thassos approximately 35 kilometers from Limenas. It is a settlement with rich historical interest, as there are still today the ancient quarries of the region and also the ruins of an ancient temple, used for worship ceremonies from 7 century BC until the Christian era.

   Alyki, apart from history, has two picturesque sandy beaches with clear waters, surrounded by pine trees, oil trees and historical monuments, giving a special beauty.

   Just outside Alyki is the Monastery of Archangelos Michael, a female monastery, built on top of a cliff, the view from which is really magnificent.
